What is being sold

Digital diagnostic reports on a website and the business presence around it, and the repair and marketing work that can follow from one. Everything is delivered electronically. No physical goods are shipped, so no delivery charges, courier terms or shipping addresses apply to any order.

Services are provided remotely from South Africa and are available worldwide. Prices are in South African rand.

Delivery

Each product has a stated turnaround. It runs from the moment payment clears and any access or information needed to start has been provided — if a report needs read-only access to an advertising or analytics account, the clock starts when that access arrives, not when the order is placed.

Reports are delivered as a private web link and a PDF you can save, print or forward. The link does not expire and nothing in a report is locked. If a turnaround cannot be met, you will be told before it is missed and can cancel for a full refund at that point.

Treatment included with your audit

The Full Body Scan includes R2,500 of treatment. If you ask me to carry out fixes prescribed by your report, the first R2,500 has already been paid for. It does not have to be spent at once — it comes off each order until it runs out, and what is left is shown to you before you commit to anything.

The Vitals earns R1,000 off. Go ahead with R3,000 or more of eligible prescribed treatment and R1,000 comes off. It applies once, not to each order, and the R3,000 is counted from eligible items only.

Both last 30 days from the day your report is published, after which anything unused falls away. Neither has a cash value, neither can be exchanged for cash or for anything else, and an unused balance is not refunded. The two cannot be combined, and neither combines with the emergency triage credit described under Refunds.

What counts as eligible treatment. Fixes prescribed by your own report and priced on my rate card. It does not cover the Free Check-up or the Security Check-Up, and it does not cover upgrading to another package, emergency triage, getting a site back online, or hacked-site recovery — those are priced separately and triage already carries its own credit. It also does not cover anything paid to somebody else on your behalf: advertising spend, hosting, domains, licences, subscriptions, paid plugins or third-party fees. Where an item is excluded you will see it on the list, at its normal price, simply not discounted.

You approve the work first. Nothing is carried out, and nothing is spent from your allowance, until you have selected it and paid for whatever is left after the deduction. If a job turns out to need more than was quoted, you will be told and asked before any of it is done.

You are never obliged to use me. The allowance exists in case you want me to do the work. Your diagnosis is yours whatever you decide: do it yourself, hand it to your own developer, or ask me. Choosing somebody else costs you nothing beyond the allowance going unused, and the report stays yours either way.

The useful-findings guarantee

If a paid audit does not uncover at least five specific, fixable issues worth acting on, the audit fee is refunded in full. This is offered on the paid audits and is in addition to the refund rights below, not instead of them.

One qualification, and only to stop the same money being paid twice. If you claim this refund on a Full Body Scan and treatment has already been carried out using the included R2,500, the value of the treatment actually completed is deducted from the refund, and any allowance still unused falls away. Only work already finished is deducted — nothing you merely selected, were quoted, or approved but which has not been started reduces your refund. If no treatment has been done, you are refunded in full.

Refunds

Before work starts, a full refund. Cancel at any point before the scan has been run or the work has begun and you are refunded in full, no reason needed.

After the report has been delivered, the guarantee is the remedy. Once a report has been sent, the work has been done and cannot be returned, so the fee is not refundable on change of mind. The useful-findings guarantee still applies, as does your right to a refund if the work was not delivered as described.

Emergency triage is credited in full against the cost of the recovery if you go ahead with it. If a recovery is quoted and you decide not to proceed, the triage fee covers the investigation and written finding you received and is not refunded.

Refunds are paid back to the original payment method through PayFast, normally within 10 business days of being agreed. Ask by email and you will get a written answer, not a form.

The Maintenance Plan

The Maintenance Plan covers routine upkeep of the website you name when you sign up: the content management system, its theme and its plugins updated and tested each month, a fresh backup taken and checked, and published security patches applied. It is upkeep, not development — new pages, redesigns and new functionality are quoted separately or covered by The Treatment Plan.

If an update I apply takes your site down, I put it right at no charge.That is the promise, and it is limited to breakages caused by an update I carried out. It does not cover a site that breaks for another reason, work by somebody else, a hack, or a hosting or third-party failure — those are quoted normally, and urgent help is available under Urgent care.

It needs the access required to do the work. Where a plugin or theme is paid for, the licence remains yours and its cost is not included.

Cancellation

Once-off work can be cancelled at any time before it starts, as above.

Monthly plans run on a 3-month minimum. After that they continue monthly and can be cancelled on 30 days’ written notice, effective at the end of the notice period. Months already paid for are worked or refunded pro rata, whichever you prefer. Plans can be paid three months in advance by EFT or monthly by card through PayFast, and the agreement is signed online.

Cancelling stops future work and future billing. It does not withdraw reports already delivered, which remain yours.

What is not included, and what is not promised

The free scan is an automated assessment of public website signals. It is practical guidance, not a guarantee of search rankings, traffic, security or sales performance.

No search ranking, AI mention or position is guaranteed by anyone, here included. Results from AI assistants vary by prompt, location and date.

Security checks are passive. Nothing is probed, injected or logged into. A passive check establishes what an attacker can already see; it is not a penetration test and cannot prove that a site is secure — no audit can. A recovery cannot prove a backdoor absent, which is why the promise made is a free re-clean within 30 days rather than a guarantee of permanent cleanliness.

Advertising spend is paid to Google or Meta directly by you and never passes through this business. Third-party costs, subscriptions and platform fees are quoted separately unless expressly included.

Your side of it

You confirm you are entitled to request checks on the website and accounts you submit. You remain responsible for approving changes to your website and digital accounts. Nothing on a live site is touched without written permission and a restore point.

Where personal information has been reached in a security incident, POPIA places the duty to notify the Information Regulator on you as the responsible party, not on The Digital Doctor. You will be told plainly where that appears to apply.

Payment

Payments are handled by PayFast. Card details are entered on PayFast and never touch this website. Accepted methods include Visa, Mastercard, Instant EFT, Capitec Pay, SnapScan, Zapper and Mobicred.

Complaints, and the law that applies

Complaints go to justin@thedigitaldoctor.co.za and are answered in writing. These terms are governed by South African law, and nothing in them limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.
